My Story
When it comes to literature, mystery fiction was my first love. Who was the author that drew me in? No mystery there, it was Agatha Christie. I read The Clocks and I was hooked.
Two years later Maxwell was created, my very own literary sleuth. You can read about Maxwell in the Maxwell Mystery Series, available on amazon.
It wasn’t Maxwell, though, that launched my writing career, but rather a short story entitled A Year of Plague, a prescient tale of locust plagues and creeping virus.
Yet we writers are an eclectic bunch, our interests vary.
My book 1859, an epic, is historical fiction, while A Red Bird, a short story, is an almost spiritual departure that dabbles in synchronicity.
Variety being the spice of life, my poem: The Sailors Daughter turned out to be my first #1 bestseller. It is available, along with my other works, on amazon!

1859
From the cobbled streets of Liverpool and Keswick to the giant megalithic stones of Castlerigg, 1859 is a story that pits man against nature in a year that was championed by those who sought to deconstruct the nature of man.
A Red Bird
A Red Bird is an innovative short story about lateral thinking and synchronicity. A poem, a picture and a car collide to help protagonist Nick reach a decision concerning his immediate future.
